Shirley Alexander

Shirley June Alexander entered into peaceful eternity on October 8, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born on July 13, 1937, on her great-grandmother's Jane Pender's farm, near the town of Wyandotte, Oklahoma. Shirley was predeceased by: her husband, Harold L. Alexander; and parents, Buck and Ernestine Deweese.

She is survived by: her two children, Harold L. Alexander, Jr. (wife, Teresa), Rosalynde Alexander (fiancé, Steve); sisters, Carol Jean Deweese Clark, Rosemary Deweese Rice (husband, Dick); nephews, Brent Perkins, Brian M. Rice; and nieces, Andrea Jones (husband, David), Blanche Holubik (husband, David), and Tawana Fox-Taffolla.

I was truck driver for Metcalf Mill. I'd have to go get paperwork from her in the Machine Shop. She was a delightful person and very kind to me. Harold (aka. Hammerhead, that was on his hard hat) worked in the Tin Shop. He was a riot to be around, always happy go lucky and a spinner of funny yarns and history that made me laugh! I know it's a sad time, but good memories need to be told. Shirley would say he was onery but in a loving way. Now they're together again so sorry to moss the funeral today. They both were good folks. Surely missed. Prayers to the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Rosalinde. I remember seeing your mom at our tennis matches. She was always so nice and greeted me with a big smile. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

The memories and friendship goes back many years and it started in Stargo. My mother was good friends with Shirley and that's how I met her. The visits on the phone were so special to me, I loved to hear her stories , I admired this very wise woman and wish we had visited more . She was so kind and loving to me. My sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Rosalynde, and Harold, Jr.
